Meet the E-Team Peer Advisers
The E-Team is composed of volunteered, upperclass engineering students who want to help incoming freshman learn the ropes of engineering at Duke.

Jennifer Arnold
Email: jma53@duke.edu
Year: Junior
Major: Biomedical Engineering & Mechanical Engineering
Minor: Evolutionary Anthropology
I have participated in research studying Tissue Engineering for a year at Duke, and I was also a Teaching Assistant for Engineering 53--which is the introduction class to Pratt. In addition, I am involved in Engineers Without Borders as a member of the publicity committee. Outside of engineering, I am very involved in the Duke Catholic Center and Zeta Tau Alpha. I look forward to being able to answer any questions that you might have about freshmen year and Pratt!

Isabelle Brogna
Email: iab3@duke.edu
Year: Sophomore
Major: Mechanical Engineering
Certificate: Energy and the Environment
I'm really just a small town girl from Rhode Island, with big time dreams to cure cancer, solve the world's energy crisis, and/or realize world peace. No biggie, right? When I'm not mechanically engineering, I watch black and white movies or hand-drawn animated ones. I also play tennis for fun, and obsess over my Italian heritage. On campus I work with the Duke Partnership for Service and volunteer with Durham children. Hope to hear from you soon!

I'm from Houston, Texas and I've danced jazz and ballet my entire life and picked up kickboxing at the end of high school. In my free time, I like to eat, sleep and watch Friends and 30 Rock. I love Duke and Pratt, so if you have any questions at all, feel free to ask!

Natalie Cybriwsky
Email: nac17@duke.edu
Year: Sophomore
Major: Civil Engineering
Certificate: Markets and Management
I love Duke, and more importantly--I love Pratt. I was lucky enough to have some amazing upperclassman help me pick classes, stay cool before big tests and learn how to make the most of my engineering experience. Also, I have already taken classes beyond the Pratt curriculum, in areas such as Cultural Anthropology and Earth and Ocean Sciences.

Kerri Devine
Email: kerri.devine@duke.edu
Year: Junior
Major: Electrical and Computer Engineering & Computer Science
Certificate: Energy and the Environment
I'm one of the few girls you'll meet in ECE, and I love being a part of the Pratt community. My academic interests include developing an energy efficient software infrastructure. Otherwise, I spend a lot of time with Engineers Without Borders, performing around campus with the Duke Irish Dancers, mentoring middle school students for a robotics competition, and cheering on the Duke Blue Devils at basketball games.

Stephanie Dudzinski

Pre-Med
I am from Kansas City, Missouri, and in my free time, I love playing club tennis (including traveling to out of town tournaments on the weekends), spending time with my sorority sisters, and working in my research lab.

Rachel Fleming
Email: raf16@duke.edu
Year: Senior
Major: Civil Engineering
Certificate: Architecture Certificate
I am involved with Pratt life through serving on the Executive Board of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) and by belonging to the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). Being a member of the Varsity Cheerleading team gives just me one way to show my Duke spirit. I have enjoyed being an E-Teamer for the past two years and look forward to meeting the new class of 2015!

Donald Husa
Email: dvh4@duke.edu
Year: Junior
Major: Electrical and Computer Engineering & Computer Science
Minor: Economics
I was born and raised in NJ, so coming to Duke has been full of new experiences for me. Since I plan on getting a double major and a minor without having to overload, I have learned how to make the most out of the four courses each semester. After graduation, I intend to obtain a Masters in Engineering Management. I'm involved in engineering and technology related organizations, including E-Team, IEEE, and ACM. I am the current president of E-Team, and I would be more than happy to answer any questions you might have as you prepare for your freshman year.

Danish Husain
Email: danish.husain@duke.edu
Year: Sophomore
Major: Biomedical Engineering and Economics
I am a member of the class of 2014 and I have enjoyed my experience at Duke so far-- and I absolutely love meeting new people. I am double majoring with economics because I am considering a combination of engineering and business in my career. I would love to speak with freshmen regarding which classes to take, how to make summers worthwhile, what recruiters really look for in a candidate, and how to make the most of the four years at Duke!

Samantha Kelly

I'm from Ellicott City, Maryland, and I am currently involved in SWE, the Admissions Ambassadors, Joe College Day, and Mirecourt. I am also a TA for EGR 53. This summer I will be spending two months in Nicaragua and Costa Rica with Engineering World Health through Duke Engage, repairing medical equipment in hospitals.

Hersh Lakdawala

I am from Manalapan, NJ, and I really hope to find a career that will allow me to utilize both my BME and Econ degrees. I enjoy swimming and running, along with playing baseball and soccer. I also participated in the DukeEngage Tanzania summer program the summer before my junior year. It also goes without saying, that I am a huge Blue Devils fan and have tented for the games. Please feel free to contact me with any questions!

Daniel Lasowski

Major: Mechanical Engineering
Minor: Finance & German
I am from San Rafael, California but I have a very international background: my parents are both German (I speak it fluently), I've lived on 3 continents, and I have studied abroad in Berlin, Germany. Growing up I've always been into sports and I played football, basketball, and golf in high school. I still play on the Duke club golf team, and do various other intramural sports.
I joined the greek community last spring, and am now a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity at Duke.

On campus, I'm involved in Duke Hillel and my selective living group "Brownstone." I studied abroad (taking engineering classes) in Metz, France last semester, and I did an individual DukeEngage Project in Israel after my freshman year. I love Pratt's community because we're supportive, social, and well-rounded, and I'd be happy to help you navigate your way around Duke in the fall.

I'm a self-proclaimed nerd who loves engineering, networking, and music. I love engineering because it allows me to apply scientific concepts to solve real-world problems, and enjoy the overlap it has with music. I understand that engineering and Pratt can be a little overwhelming at first, so I'm here to guide, advise, and provide advice on anything incoming Pratt stars might need!
