Ecohydrology and Sustainability in Seasonally Dry Ecosystems

International Workshop - Duke University, June 13-14, 2011

The workshop brings together expertise from different countries and disciplines (e.g., hydrology, ecology, plant physiology, economics, agronomy, environmental engineering) to address emerging issues on ecohydrology and sustainability in seasonally dry ecosystems. The workshop is being organized by Amilcare Porporato and Giulia Vico, and will be held in the Schiciano Auditorium B in CIEMAS Fitzpatrick. The workshop is co-sponsored by NSF-CBET and the Pratt School of Engineering.

 

Duke Sensing & Analysis of High-Dimensional Data Workshop

July 26-28, 2011

The Duke Workshop on Sensing and Analysis of High-Dimensional Data will be held July 26-28, 2011. The
meeting is being organized and hosted by the following Duke faculty: Robert Calderbank, Lawrence Carin, Ingrid Daubechies, David Dunson, Mauro Maggioni and Rebecca Willett. The meeting will be held at the Washington Duke Inn and Golf Club, adjacent to the Duke campus. The meeting is co-sponsored by AFRL, ARO, DARPA, NGA and ONR. The workshop will bring together world-leading researchers from the fields of mathematics, statistics, engineering and computer science.
