Recruiting@Pratt

Pratt Students Pratt graduates are highly recruited into engineering and non-engineering fields. In partnership with the Career Center, our goal is to facilitate opportunities for companies to access Pratt's top quality students. Those venues include on-campus recruiting, Career Fairs, Techconnect and job and internship postings. We can help connect you and your company with our students. To discuss your recruiting needs in more detail, please contact Kirsten Shaw in Pratt's Corporate and Industry Relations department.

TechConnect and On-campus Recruiting

TechConnect, hosted each year by Duke's Career Center, the Pratt School of Engineering and the Department of Computer Science, brings engineering and computer science students together with employers from these industry sectors. Duke also hosts several career fairs each year.

Internships

Internships are an excellent way to tap into the outstanding student talent Pratt has to offer. We encourage all our students to pursue one or more industry internships during their undergraduate years in order to try on different careers possibilities. For Industry, internships are tried and true method for pre-screening future employees. We are always working to expand the number of internship opportunities for our students. Please contact Kirsten Shaw if you are interested in establishing a new internship program with Pratt, or need to know more about how to advertise at Duke.

MEM Students: industry-trained, management ready

Industry partners are also encouraged to employ graduates of our innovative Master of Engineering Management professional masters-degree program. Such students have industry experience and are prepared to factor business issues in their decision making. They typically require less training time and 'handling' than engineers with less experience.
