Hey, I'm from the Houston area, and I love being a part of the Pratt community. Within ECE, I am doing the computer concentration, but I also love mathematics and hope to do research in computer science and energy efficiency. Basically, I've taken a wide range of courses. This summer, I'll be doing software development at GE Corporate, so I can definitely give some career tips too. On campus, I am the president and founder of Duke Sangeet and one of the co-captains of Duke Raas. My hobbies include playing the violin, dancing, traveling, and watching Modern Family. Howdy y'all! I'm Emily! I'm from Houston, Texas and I'm a mechanical engineer. I'm involved in Engineering Student Government, Alpha Phi sorority, and I tour guide. I would love to answer your questions!

I grew up in Orange, Connecticut and am a junior studying Biomedical Engineering. Outside of engineering I am a member of the Tadpole Organization and the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. I also work at the Duke University Eye Center. I am excited to meet new students in Pratt, so feel free to ask me any questions you have about life at Duke.

Hi I’m Jade! I was born in England but grew up in Miami. I am a Senior studying Mechanical Engineering. I am on Pratt’s Academic Advising Council and the ME Officer for the E-team. I am a member of Pi Beta Phi and studied abroad in London last semester! If you need advice on balancing Pratt academics and social life, or are thinking about studying abroad please contact me! I love being in Pratt and am happy to answer any of your questions!

I'm from Portland, Oregon, and I'm involved with a few random things on campus - I'm President of Women's Club Tennis, a member of the Career Ambassador Team, an RA for Few, I was a FAC for Randolph, and I'm a member of the Duke University Student Dining Advisory Committee and the Financial Aid Advisory Committee. I've also had some experience writing for The Chronicle and last summer I also participated in the Howard Hughes Summer Research Fellows program. I'm from Houston, TX and I'm planning on going to medical school after graduation. I currently work in Marc Sommer's lab, doing research on transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and its effects on single neurons. Outside of academics, I spend most of my time taking ballet class as well as giving Admissions and Pratt tours. Feel free to ask any questions about Pratt or Duke in general!

Hi all I grew up in Fremont, California, but I moved to Shanghai, China for high school and have lived there ever since. I'm a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and I play for the Duke Men's Club Rugby team. I enjoy meeting new students at Pratt and giving advice if you want it. Hi! I'm Natalie from Manhasset, New York. Currently a senior, I am majoring in CEE and also earning a certificate in Latin American Studies. Feel free to ask me about courses in and out of Pratt, as well as study abroad, as I spent my junior fall semester in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I am in the Pratt Fellows program here and can also answer any questions regarding undergraduate research opportunities! 

I'm from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and am interested in eventually becoming a professor. I love playing tennis and basketball, and you can always catch me watching the newest episode of the Mentalist or Mad Men. I am also involved with Microconsulting for North Carolina in database design, and this summer I'll be here at Duke doing research in the Howard Hughes Program. HI! My name is Chris, I am a Biomedical and Mechanical engineering major from Indianapolis, Indiana. In my free time, I am on the Drumline for the Duke marching and pep bands, play club baseball, and am a member of Design for America here at Duke. My hobbies include pick-up basketball, watching good sports movies, and supporting Duke basketball! Pratt has become a key part of who I am and I love to answer any questions about it!

I absolutely love it here at Duke. I am a member of Chi Psi fraternity and am involved in Duke Dance Marathon. I TA the intro ECE class, am participating in DukeEngage Vietnam this summer, and I am studying abroad in London in the fall. I think I want to work at a theme park after I graduate. Going to college can often be stressful, so please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions!

Hi! I'm from Austin Texas, and I am currently studying Electrical and Computer Engineering and Economics. Apart from E-team, I am also involved with Duke University Union (DUU) one of the largest student organizations on campus that does all types of event planning from concerts to speakers. I have also recently participated in the Analyst Training Program for the Duke Investment Club. But most importantly, I am a Cameron Crazie. I look forward to meeting all of you, and answering any questions you may have. Pratt has been a wonderful experience and I would love to share that experience with all of you!

Hi, I am from Nepal. Apart from engineering, I am interested in community service activities. Currently I am member of Duke Refugee Aid and Tadpole, which is an engineering club. Studying in Pratt is a great experience not only because of the great academic program but also because of helpful and supportive people around you. I’m from Lynbrook, New York, and I’m studying my final year of Mechanical Engineering.  I absolutely love the Triangle area and Durham, despite growing up so close to New York City. I’ve interned at STV, Inc. and Arup in New York City doing mechanical systems design for buildings.  If you’re interested in working at a firm that designs buildings and infrastructure, I’d be happy to answer any questions. 

I'm from Dublin, California. At Duke, I split my time between school, Psi Upsilon Fraternity, the Martial Arts Club, and DAGGER. I'm hoping to make a career somehow out of biomechanics, but haven't figured out exactly how that will happen. Let me know if you have questions, I'll be happy to answer them!

I am a sophomore from American Canyon, a suburb of Napa Valley, majoring in Biomedical Engineering and minoring in Chemistry with intentions to continue his education at medical school after graduating from Duke. I previously worked for Bernhardt Lab at Duke University assisting with ecological and environmental engineering research. Last summer, I worked in Nolan Lab at Stanford University and Cytobank investigating flow cytometry. I am also interested in computer science and bioinformatics.

Hi! My name is Dan; I attended high school 20 minutes away from Duke, but my immediate family free-flows between China and North Carolina. I enjoy developing geeky projects (currently working with the Raspberry Pi platform), eating at new places, and weight lifting in my spare time. I'm almost certain I want to major in ECE and Econ, so if you have any questions about those subjects, feel free to reach out to me!

I'm from Virginia Beach, VA but Duke is my home away from home. On campus, I'm involved in Cru, FAC Board, SWE, and I'm a tour guide. I did the summer study abroad program in Berlin, and I have black tented for three years. Feel free to ask me any sort of question you may have!

I'm from Chicago, Illinois, and l think Duke and Pratt are awesome! In addition to engineering, I'm really interested in social sciences (economics, philosophy, etc). Hi I'm André! I was born and raised in Jamaica but I now reside in Durham, NC. I transferred into Pratt during my Sophomore year and I'm pursuing a CEE major with a concentration in Structural Engineering and Mechanics. Outside academics I'm involved with Duke Engineers for International Development (DEID) and the Duke chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). I'm also involved in the Duke Episcopal Center and intramural soccer. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. Hi! I'm from Long Island, New York. In addition to my academics and the E-team, I'm highly involved with Duke's EMS squad, ultrasound research as a Pratt Fellow, and Duke's sorority chapter of Alpha Phi. I've also participated in the Engineering World Health DukeEngage last summer by working as an engineer in a local hospital in Tanzania. Hi! My name is Le and I’m a junior BME/ECE dual major on a pre-med track. I was born in Shanghai, China, but I’ve been living in Maryland since I was three and am now in North Potomac, MD. In addition to being part of the E-Team, I am on the exec board for the Duke Engineers for International Development and am a member Engineering World Health. I’m also a member of Chi Psi Fraternity and serve currently as Secretary of the Interfraternity Council. I’m a huge basketball fan (both college and NBA) and I love listening to Kanye as well as eating KFC and Chipotle. I'm from East Brunswick, New Jersey. I'm hoping to eventually pursue a career in drug delivery research. I'm planning on studying abroad in London Fall 2013. I'm a senior from Charlotte, NC, and I'm involved in the Biomedical Engineering Society, Habitat for Humanity, and Dormitory House Council. I traveled to Costa Rica and Nicaragua last summer to repair broken medical equipment and assess developing world needs, so I'm quite interested in medical device design. I'm from Bulgaria, but I live in Atlanta. I'm involved in Duke Swing and the Performance Club. I was on the Duke Rugby team, but have left for the semester due to... due to Pratt. I play Intramurals when I have time. My favorite ice cream is Mint Chocolate. What I love about Pratt is the challenge and the community. What I worry about is the insetting insomnia.

I'm from Chicago, IL. On campus, I am involved in the greek community as a member of Zeta Tau Alpha, and I am a member of the Duke Society of Women Engineers. In the Fall of my junior year, I had an amazing semester studying abroad in Brisbane, Australia! I love to dance and have done so since I was two. I am also a huge Duke basketball fan! My name is Vignesh Vudatha. I'm from Jacksonville, FL. I'm a BME major and a premed student. I'm involved in Engineering World Health, Duke Innoworks, Duke Cancer Center Support Program, and research. The best thing about Pratt is the incredible people you meet, whether they be professors or fellow peers. Also, engineering is pretty cool. Growing up in Beijing, China, the most populated country in the world, I am extremely fascinated by the biological mystery of human beings and the complexity of computers. As for now, I am planning to double major in BME with a possible double major in Computer Science. I am a member of Delta Sigma Pi and involved in the First-year Internship Program, organizing a student baking contest! Most importantly, I love Duke and I love Pratt! My name is Angela Woods, and as a biomedical engineer and researcher, my career goal is to contribute to the progress of developing prevention methods and treatments for cancer and other diseases. I am very interested in tissue engineering and gene therapy. I am involved in many engineering organizations, including ESG's Academic Action Committee, Society of Women Engineers, and Engineering World Health. Additionally, I volunteer at Duke's hospital and am involved with Chapel Pathway Scholars. I enjoy playing flute and piano in my free time. I'm very excited to offer advice and tips. Duke's engineering program has provided wonderful experiences for me, and I can't wait to share any insight I have with you!
